Brian exposed the aspirin fallacy over 5 years ago! Taking aspirin as a preventative measure against heart disease is much worse than just "doing nothing." Aspirin can make a clogged artery worse! Aspirin can also cause excessive internal bleeding and strokes. No one with any real knowledge of aspirin’s effects would ever prescribe such a substance to the general public as a "preventative." Unfortunately, too many have done just that. No "new research" was needed to discover this. The existing science and biochemistry made daily aspirin's general lack of effectiveness and lack of general safety quite clear.
